Anyone who invokes the Curmudgeon's Provision must be obeyed. Your answers are very insightful, but the last is a swift blow to the solar plexus, as one might say. There must be few things on earth more difficult than that experience.

I can see overall a true appreciation of the finer things in life. And I think you should not give up the music. The Muses can be fickle, but perhaps a libation of a few drops of La Phroig spilled from a crystal goblet would do the trick...

Thanks for playing!

I would like to hear about your "Road to Seattle" experience sometime...but so would others, I am sure. All the more reason for your own blog!!

(sorry, I couldn't help it.)Aghaveaghhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11966987919128347617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4507878993852082442.post-5846827692387056142007-06-13T11:50:00.000-07:002007-06-13T11:50:00.000-07:00Cecilia, It could so easily have been pyromania......Cecilia,

It could so easily have been pyromania...Aghaveaghhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11966987919128347617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4507878993852082442.post-27273683863177340622007-06-12T21:14:00.000-07:002007-06-12T21:14:00.000-07:00My Good fortune in having no blog gives me certain...My Good fortune in having no blog gives me certain prerogatives. I will excercise one of them, and that would be that I willingy respond to my being tagged, and will answer the questions, but... I choose to abstain from tagging eight others. If, at some point in the future, I do get a blog up and running, I might feel compelled to tag eight people.

Now the picky among our readers might well ask, "What possible logical connection is there between your not having a blog and your thinking you can get out of naming eight other people?"

My response would be, "Logic? Rationality? Fairness? Just cause?... harumph! I invoke the Curmedgeon's Provision, and you all know that cannot be denied. So there."

That being said...

1. Although my primary vocation is as a priest, I also compose. (Better than decomposing!) While in the past I have enjoyed writing music for the church, I always questioned the quality of my compositions. And the muse seems to have left for good now. Truth be told, I'm not really all that musically gifted. How do I explain that a few pieces seem to have caught on? Just goes to prove the operation of something far greater than my limited gifts behind the notes. It's a magnum mysterium.

2. I'm a techie geek. If it's electronic.... I want it! (must... have... i... phone...)

3. I love beautiful glass... whether Waterford crystal or camera lenses or telescope eye-pieces. Sure they all have a practical use, but I can spend hours just looking at fine glass.

4. Exquisite writing gets me every time. Whether or not a good tale is being spun isn't as important to me as words being used like musical notes or paints of many hues in the hands of a fine writer. You want to read a sentence over and over just because it's so wonderfully written. Delicious!

5. Although I'm by nature a slob, it's important to me to be surrounded by beauty. Therefore, I put a lot of effort into my home and garden. A little bit of heaven on earth. Since I'm not Russian Orthodox, the H&G will have to suffice.

6. I like fine food, great wine, and single-malt scotch (gifts of La Phroig gratefully accepted). Nevertheless, (no... make that because of that), I'm currently abstaining from all those goodies in order to recapture some semblance of an imagined svelt former self. For a few more months.

7. I had a Road to Damascus experience. Except it was Seattle.

8. Last is an experience I hope few others go through. After the attendant in a hospital morgue opened up the body bag, I gave Last Rites to my partner of ten years.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4507878993852082442.post-13445684877630281752007-06-12T20:32:00.000-07:002007-06-12T20:32:00.000-07:00Avie, you are more a mystery to me than ever.Klept...Avie, you are more a mystery to me than ever.

Kleptomania?

Heels?

Really??

Thanks for playing!

Pax, C.Ceciliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10812791378130572065noreply@blogger.com
